  • Look Inside

Right homonymous hemianopsia of recent on-set was detected in a 49-year-old male without pathological neurological signs in particular. One month later, headache developed accompanied by abnormal EEG findings. During the following 4 weeks the headache gradually aggravated and culminated in acute attack of vomiting and loss of consciousness. Death set in on the next day.

Autopsy studies revealed the presence of ex-tensive haemorrhage in the occipital area sugge-stive of Apoplexy on macroscopic appearence. Astrocytoma was found in the haemorrhagic area and proved to be the cause of the massive bleeding.
