I．緒言

　Ticsは強制的神経症の1つの症状として，ある刺激の下で一定の筋肉群に不規則に繰返される不随意運動発作であり，とくに小児に最も多くみられる眼瞼の習慣性spasmはそのモデルとしてこれほど著明なものはないといわれる。それゆえに小児のTicsの患者はもつともしばしば最初に眼科を受診することが多い。

　私は青森県立中央病院眼科外来を受診したTicsの症例について考察してみたい。

Considering about fifty cases of tics during the past two years, the author concluded as follows :

1. Except one case of seventeen-yeas-old girl, all the patients were younger than thirteen years. There were more boys than girls ; in thirty-three cases boys were involved, in the other seventeen cases it was girl.

Most of the cases were among the six year old bracket, which coincided with the first grade of elementary school.

2. Their main symptoms were the following ones : frequent winks as one of the typical symptoms of tics, rubbing their eyes, turning up the whites of their eyes, and sniffing out their noses.
