I．緒言
先に私は昭和29年度の岩見沢市に於ける流行性角結膜炎87例の観察を発表した（臨眼10-10）。その後も本疾患に興味を抱き研究を続けて来たが，此の度青森県立中央病院に勤務する事になつた。岩見沢市に於ける場合と地域的に，又年次的にも推移があるので，再びその観察を行つて見るのも意義があると思われる。更に本疾患の病原体と思われるAdenovirus type 8も分離されて注目を浴び，ウイールス学上にも重要な位置を占めるに到り，今後の研究を期待するものであるが，本論文が聊かでも之等に役立てば幸いである。
93 cases of epidemic keratoconjunctivitis or 3.2% of all out-patients were found during a year between April 1956 and March 1957 in the out-patient clinic of Aomori Prefectural Hospital. The signs and symptoms of these cases were as follows:
bilateral conjunctivitis 44 cases
swelling of the preauricular lymph nodes 43 cases
pain 23 cases
pseudomembrane on the conjunctiva 27 cases (mainly children)
corneal infiltration 15 cases
hyposphagma 57 cases
familial infection 20 cases or 9 families
