麦粒腫の発生要因に関する臨床的考察

A Study for the factors of the occurrence of Hordeolum

I．緒言

　眼疾患としての麦粒腫は，最もありふれたものの一つであるが，屡々再発し，又体質的な原因を伴つて発生することが知られているが，近年，各種の抗生物質の臨床的応用によつて，起炎菌である葡萄状球菌の耐性が注目されている。此の事は麦粒腫のみならず，一般の化膿性疾患に於いても同様で，此の耐性菌による感染症が重要な問題となつている。

　麦粒腫は患者の受診率が上昇しているとはいえ，種々の抗生物質等のすぐれた薬剤の普及にも拘らず，細菌性急性結膜炎の様に特に，著明に減少しているという印象は受けない。之は果して単に抗生物質耐性菌による感染が増加した為であるかどうか疑問とする所があつたが，今回，青森県立中央病院眼科外来患者について，1957年より1960年に到る4カ年間の麦粒腫の患者について調査し，種々興味ある点を見出したので報告する。

During past 4 years, since 1957 to 1960, the author investigated 870 cases of hordeolum at the Department of Ophthalmology, Aomori Prefectual Hospital and got the results as follows.

1. The hordeolum patients occupy about 5% of whole out-patients, tended neither increase nor decrease during these 4 years, many ofthem suffer from the disease in summer mainly from May to August. There is no season, however, when the patients decrease remarkablly. The ratio of male to female is 1 : 1.44.
