This paper describes the eye findings of an isolate population for which human genetic survey was jointly performed with special re-ference to consanguinity by Prof. Neel and Schull, Michigan University.

The frequency of inbreeding in this island is about 20%, and about 10% of the parents are the offsprings of consanguinous marriage, and about 40% of the whole population is rela-ted in some way to consanguineous marriages.
