Abstract 文献概要

　加齢黄斑変性 8 眼に経瞳孔温熱療法（TTT）を行った。全例に中心窩下に脈絡膜新生血管があった。平均視力は術前 0.06，術後 0.07 であり，2 段階以上の改善が 2 眼，不変 5 眼，2 段階以上の低下が 1 眼にあった。中心窩厚は術前 535.8±58.0μm，術後 485.5±64.0μm で，有意に減少した（p＜0.05）。2～6 か月，平均 4 か月の経過観察で，格別の合併症はなかった。経瞳孔温熱療法は視力を維持し，中心窩厚を減少させ，合併症がない点で有効であると評価した。視力が改善した 2 眼は発症 3 か月以内に本治療を受けていたことから，本療法を発症早期に実施すると視力改善効果が大きい可能性がある。

　Purpose：To evaluate the efficacy of transpupillary thermotherapy（TTT）for age-related macular degeneration（AMD）. Cases：TTT was performed on 8 eyes of 8 patients. All had occult subfoveal choroidal neovascularization. Findings：The visual acuity averaged 0.06 before and 0.07 after treatment. It improved by 2 lines or more in 2 eyes,remained unchanged in 5 eyes,and deteriorated in one eye. The foveal thickness averaged 535.5＋58.0μm before and 485.5±74.0μm after treatment. The difference was significant（p＜0.05）. There was no complications during the follow-up for 2 to 6months,average 4months. Conclusion：TTT may be safe and effective for for age-related macular degeneration by reducing the foveal thickness and by maintaining visual acuity,particularly in early cases.
