グルタル酸血症1型は先天性アミノ酸代謝異常疾患の一つでリジン，ヒドロキシリジン，トリプトファンの中間代謝過程で働くグルタリルCoA脱水素酵素（glutaryl-CoA dehydrogenase：GCDH）の障害によって生じる，常染色体潜性（劣性）遺伝の疾患である^1）。今回我々は，乳幼児期に診断のついたグルタル酸血症1型患者で成人期に上衣下結節病変の出現を認めたため，文献的考察を加えて報告する。

An 18-year-old girl was diagnosed with glutaric acidemia type 1 in the neonatal period. A follow-up brain MRI showed multiple subependymal nodules within the lateral ventricles. Although there have been several reports of subependymal nodules in adults with glutaric acidemia type 1, there have been no pathological reports. These nodules morphologically resembled ring-shaped lateral ventricular nodules coined by Shimono et al. It is important to note that subependymal nodules can develop with age in glutaric acidemia type 1.
