Evaluation of spontaneous resolution of small bowel strangulation

絞扼性腸閉塞は速やかな外科的治療を要し，生命に関わる重篤な疾患であるが，まれに自然解除する症例が存在し，保存的加療のみで軽快することがある。

We reviewed the imaging and clinical findings of eight patients who had resolved spontaneously in the small bowel strangulation. The spontaneous resolution of strangulation occurred in 8 out of 249 cases（3.2％）for 12 years. Four cases were small bowel volvulus, and the rest of half cases were closed loop type strangulation. The former type tended to resolve spontaneously more likely than the latter type.
