  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Endoscopic breast conserving surgery was originally developed in Japan. Endoscopic procedure consists of in-dividual elements such as protection of wounds, skin flap formation, dissection of major pectral fascia, dissection of mammary gland, reconstruction of breast, and dissection of axillary lymph nodes. Clinical results showed that the efficacy of endoscopic breast conserving operation was equal to normal procedure. As for the limitation of endoscopic breast conserving operation, patients with a tumor measuring less than 2cm without skin or fascia invasion are preferred.
