真性上顎洞mucoceleおよびpyoceleの2症例

GENUINE NILICOCELE AND PYOCEI.E OF THE LARY SINUS, REPORT OF Two Cases

　Ⅰ．はじめに

　手術既往がなく，頬部腫脹，X線像で一側の上顎洞陰影，上顎洞壁の骨破壊が認められる場合は，まず最初に悪性腫瘍を念頭におく。私たちは同所見があつたが真性上顎洞mucoceleおよびpyoceleと診断された2症例を経験したので報告するとともに若干の考察を加えてみた。

　Mucocele and pyocele are commonly found in the frontal and ethmoidal sinus, but genuine mucocele or pyocele is rare in the maxillary sinus.

　We reported a case of mucocele in the maxillary sinus in a male aged 15 years and another case of pyocele in a female aged 58 years. The latter case was due to an obstruction of the ostium of the sinus, while in the former case, the ostium was obstructed, and the mucocele was presumably developed from a retention cyst in the maxillary sinus.
