上顎洞骨腫症例

　緒言

　鼻腔及び副鼻腔に発生する良性腫瘍中，骨腫は比較的稀に見られるものであり，外国に於ては，1881年Bornhaūpt以来，Birch-Hirschfeld，Boenninghaus，Heinz-Dahmann，Eckert-Möbiūs等が多数の統計的観察を行つている。我国では昭和14年当教室の神尾の23例の統計的観察後は僅かに宮崎，三部，末光，山川，河本及び当教室飯田等による数例の報告例あるのみである。殊に上顎洞に発生した例は非常に少く，本邦では本症例を加えて僅かに6例に過ぎない。最近私等は約50年間に亘つて殆んど放置されたまゝになつていた巨大な上顎洞骨腫の1例を経験したので，先人の業績に追加報告する次第である。

　Kodama and Kinugawa repart a case of osteoma of the maxillary bone in a man aged 60. The growth was recognized in the patient at about the age of 12; ten years later attempts were made for removal on two successive occasions with failure in both. Since then for 37 years the growth has been dormant and the authors conclude that it requires no further attention.
