  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

In order to understand the manifestation and chronology of various functions assessed in relation to the concurrent development of the central nervous system, we made a study on fetal behavioral develop-ment.

Using real-time ultrasound and cardiotocography, we observed (1) the developmental process of rapid and non-rapid eye movements (REM/NREM), (2) the concurrent development of the eye movement phase and micturition, and (3) the relation between development of REM/NREM and the mouthingmovement.
