  • Look Inside

We studied two cases of Marfan syndrome by an ultrasound biomicroscope. One case showed postsurgical aphakia in one eye and dislocatad lens in the other. The other case showed postsurgical aphakia in both. They were aged 23 and 33 years respectively. All the four eyes showed hypoplasia of pars plicata of the ciliary body with decreased height and occasional posterior elongation of the ciliary processes. This finding was compatible with the reported histological features of this syndrome. The pathological ciliary body appeared to be related with the fragility of zonules of Zinn.
