　網膜芽細胞腫における種瘍細胞と網膜色素上皮細胞のinteractionに関して既報^1）の1症例につき病理形態学的に検討し，さらにいくつかの興味ある所見が得られたので，文献的検討を加え報告した。

　腫瘍細胞は微小な細胞質隆起をのばしながら網膜色素上皮細胞に接近し，そのmicrovilliを圧排，断裂し，両細胞間にzonula adherens類似の接着構造を形成していた。

　本腫瘍の脈絡膜浸潤における一形式として，このような接着構造をもとに網膜色素上皮細胞に定着，ついで破壊し，脈絡膜浸潤を完成させることが推測された。

An electron microscopic investigation was con-ducted to study the interaction between tumor and retinal pigment epithelial cells in a 15-month-old girl's eye which was enucleated as treatment of unilateral retinoblastoma.

It was found that tumor cells intruded into the microvilli situated on the surface of retinal pigment epithelial cells and destroyed them. In addition, zonula adherens-like attachments between the tumor and retinal pigment epithelial cells, which have never been reported.
