A 49 years old farmer fell down into the ditch and visited to our clinic with the comp-laint of pain on the left eye lid and swallowing pain. A wound was found on the inner canthus of the left eye and a wooden piece of Japanese oak (15 cm×1.1cm, 5.7g.), which lied between the inner canthus and the side of the neck through the posterior pharynx, was extracted from the wound.

When the operation was performed, the patient vomitted two lieves, and a wooden piece (3.0cm) was vomitted 16 days later. A wooden piece of a rice grain size was discharged from the wound 5 weeks later, and then the symptoms were completely healed.
