眼窩より咽頭後部及び側頸部に達した巨大木片異物の1治験例

A clinical case with a large wooden foreign body extending from the orbit to the posterior part of the pharynx and lateral part of the neck

　眼窩内異物の報告例は多数あるが，私共は最近眼窩から咽頭後部及び側頸部にまで達した長さ15.0cmの巨大木片異物を摘出し，ほとんど後遺症を貽さずに治癒した症例を経験したので報告する。

A 49 years old farmer fell down into the ditch and visited to our clinic with the comp-laint of pain on the left eye lid and swallowing pain. A wound was found on the inner canthus of the left eye and a wooden piece of Japanese oak (15 cm×1.1cm, 5.7g.), which lied between the inner canthus and the side of the neck through the posterior pharynx, was extracted from the wound.

When the operation was performed, the patient vomitted two lieves, and a wooden piece (3.0cm) was vomitted 16 days later. A wooden piece of a rice grain size was discharged from the wound 5 weeks later, and then the symptoms were completely healed.
