眼のフーコーテストの試み（その1）

The Foucault Test of Optic Components of the Eye

緒言

　フーコーテスト（Foucault test，ナイフエッジ法）は古くから行なわれているもので，今日でも反射望遠鏡の巨大な反射鏡の研磨などに用いられている。

　このフーコーテストを眼の光学系について行なつているのがスキアスコピーであり，これは一般の眼科臨床上最も頻繁に行なわれる検査法の一つである。しかしこのスキアスコピーは被検眼を散瞳せずに行なうもので，検出できるのは眼の屈折異常度と乱視度だけである。

The Foucault knife edge test was carried out in human eyes, using a Nikon-F camera with bellows attachment and 200 mm/4 lens, in front of which a small mirrow was attached.

The knife edge cutting of the ray from the eye was performed by means of parallel move-ment of the mirror which reflected the ray from a light source into the eye.

The spherical aberration, coma and oblique astigmatism of the eye were analysed by exa-mination of the patterns of the Foucault-shadow on the cornea.

The relations between the aberrations and the patterns of the shadow were confirmed theore-tically by ray tracing method.
