内外オフタルモメーターの精度の比較

Comparative Studies of Accuracy of Topcon's and Zeiss' Ophthalmometer

緒言

　オフタルモメーターは，眼屈折の診断治療上きわめて重要な器械であることは衆知である。これに内外数種の製品があるが，この精度についてはあまり発表がない。著者はこの点を追及した。

Using Topcon's and Zeiss' Ophthalmometer, the author measured first the radius of the stan-dard steel ball of 11, 12, 15, 16, 18 and 20 mm in diameter and secondly the radius of the an-terior surface of the cornea of 50 subjects. The comparison of the corresponding data using two ophthalmometer was as follows.

The measured mean values of the standard steel ball radius using Topcon's ophthalmometer were more accurate than those using Zeiss' ophthalmometer, but the standard deviationswere larger in the former than in the latter.
