Abstract. Purpose:To report a case of Crohn disease complicated by unilateral central retinal vein occlusion(CRVO). Case:A 23-year-old male was referred to us for impaired vision in the left eye since 10 days before. He had been diagnosed with Crohn disease 9 years before and been treated with peroral infliximab until present. Findings:Corrected visual acuity was 1.2 right and 0.3 left. The left eye showed findings of CRVO. Fluorescein angiography showed findings compatible with cystoid macular edema. He was treated by peroral prednisolone at the daily dosis of 30 mg per day. Visual acuity improved to 0.5 one week later. Fluorescein angiography 7 months after his initial visit showed reduced dye leakage from vessels with visual acuity of 1.2. Conclusion:CRVO developed in a juvenile patient who was under treatment by peroral infliximab for Crohn disease. Systemic prednisolone was followed by improvement of fundus lesions.
