Abstract. Purpose:To compare findings by fluorescein angiography and optical coherence tomography(OCT)in myopic choroidal neovascularization. Cases and Findings:This retrospective study was made on 32 eyes with myopic choroidal neovascularization that showed dye leakage by fluorescein angiography. All the eyes had myopia of -7 diopters or greater. OCT was used to evaluate the presence of exudative changes. Results:OCT showed absence of interstitial fluid, cystoid changes or subretinal fluid in 13 eyes(41%). These 13 eyes were assigned to disagreement group. Best-corrected visual acuity tended to be better in this group. Resolution of OCT was not related to detection of exudative changes. Conclusion:Numerous cases of myopic choroidal neovascularization show discrepancy between findings by OCT and fluorescein angiography. Examination by OCT alone may be not sufficient to evaluate the activity of choroidal neovascularization in myopia.
