Changes in intraocular pressure after switching from latanoprost to travoprost

要約　目的：0.005％ラタノプロストから0.004％トラボプロスト点眼に切替えた後の眼圧の変化と角膜障害の報告。対象と方法：眼圧下降が不十分または角膜障害がある緑内障45例87眼を対象とした。男性21例，女性24例で，年齢は20～90歳（平均67歳）であった。原発開放隅角緑内障44眼，正常眼圧12眼，その他である。平均眼圧は17.3±5.1mmHgであった。結果：平均眼圧は切替えから3か月後と6か月後で有意に下降した（p＜0.01）。正常眼圧緑内障では有意の眼圧下降はなかった（p＝0.64）。全症例での角膜スコアの平均値は有意に改善した（p＜0.01）。結論：ラタノプロスト点眼で十分な眼圧下降が得られないか，角膜障害が生じた緑内障症例では，トラボプロストへの切替えが奏効することがある。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report changes in intraocular pressure（IOP）and corneal complications after switching from 0.005％ latanoprost to 0.004％ travoprost in eyes with glaucoma. Cases and Method：This study was made on 87 eyes of 45 glaucoma patients. The series comprised 21 males and 24 females. The age ranged from 20 to 90 years,average 67 years. There were 44 eyes with primary open-angle glaucoma and 12 eyes with normal-tension glaucoma among others. IOP averaged 17.3±5.1 mmHg. Results：Averaged value of IOP in the whole series decreased significantly 3 and 6 months after switching（p＜0.01）. There was no significant change in IOP in eyes with normal-tension glaucoma（p＝0.64）. Averaged value of corneal score improved significantly（p＜0.01）. Conclusion：Switching from topical latanoprost to travoprost may be effective in patients with uncontrolled IOP or corneal disorders.
