Abstract. Purpose:To report changes in intraocular pressure(IOP)and corneal complications after switching from 0.005% latanoprost to 0.004% travoprost in eyes with glaucoma. Cases and Method:This study was made on 87 eyes of 45 glaucoma patients. The series comprised 21 males and 24 females. The age ranged from 20 to 90 years, average 67 years. There were 44 eyes with primary open-angle glaucoma and 12 eyes with normal-tension glaucoma among others. IOP averaged 17.3±5.1 mmHg. Results:Averaged value of IOP in the whole series decreased significantly 3 and 6 months after switching(p<0.01). There was no significant change in IOP in eyes with normal-tension glaucoma(p=0.64). Averaged value of corneal score improved significantly(p<0.01). Conclusion:Switching from topical latanoprost to travoprost may be effective in patients with uncontrolled IOP or corneal disorders.
