Purpose:To report two cases of central retinal vein occlusion manifesting turbid retina. Cases:A 58-year-old man presented with blurring in his right eye since 6 days before. His visual acuity was 1.2 right. The right eye showed findings of central retinal vein occlusion associated with paravenous opacity temporal to the macula. Fluorescein angiography showed normal inflow pattern. The fundus became normal 2 months later. Another 58-year-old man was seen 4 weeks after blurring in his right eye. His visual acuity was 0.7. Funduscopy showed central retinal vein occlusion. Optociliary vein was detected by infrared angiography. His visual acuity decreased to 0.2 4 months later. He had developed branch retinal artery occlusion. Optociliary vein became more congested. Conclusion:Retinal opacity in the first case may be the so-called patchy ischemic retinal whitening. In the second case, optociliary vein may have altered the dynamics of peripapillary circulation resulting in retina ischemia.
