Aspiration Pneumonitisの2症例について

Aspiration Pneumonitis, Report of Two Cases

　麻酔または手術中に胃内容物が肺内へ流入し，それによって惹起される肺炎を吸引肺炎または燕下性肺炎，Aspiration Pneumonitisと呼ばれている。そして，本症は死亡率がきわめて高い所から，術中または術後に発生する合併症の中でも最も重大なものとして認識されている。

　筆者は，1970年1月から1973年4月までの期間に全身麻酔中に本合併症を3例経験し，2名を救命し1名を失った。これらのうちの2症例について臨床症状，経過および治療法について述べると共に文献的考察を加える。

Since the report of Mendelson in 1946, aspira-tion of gastric contents into the lungs during general anaesthesia has been recognized as a se-rious complication as a possible cause of death.

From 1970 through 1973 we observed 3 cases of aspiration of gastric contents during general anaesthesia. These accidents occurred immedi-ately after the administration of succinylcholine chloride to facilitate the endotracheal intubation.
