A 69 year-old man was admitted to Asahikawa Medical College Hospital in 1983 for the treatment of gastric cancer which had already been diagnosed at the out-patient clinic. X-ray examination of stomach was done on March 1, 1983. Double contrast and compression study (Fig. 7~10) revealed an elevated lesion with shallow central depression at the greater curvature of the antrum and the diagnosis of early gastric cancer, type Ⅱa+Ⅱc,was made.
Endoscopic examination done on February 24, 1983 (Fig. 11, 12) revealed a round elevated lesion with central depression at the same site. Malignancy was confirmed by biopsy.
