I．はじめに

　慢性鼓膜炎について昨年の本誌に報告を書いたが^1），その後さらにいくつかの所見に気付いたので追加報告したい。前回の報告では，この疾患が稀なものではなくかなり多いものであること、必しも肉芽を伴わず，びらんと呼ぶ方がふさわしい変化が多いこと，時に鼓膜穿孔を伴い慢性中耳炎と区別しがたい疾患であること，さらにこの疾患の誘因や耳漏細菌検査の結果などを報告した。

　今回は患者数，病変の再発，初期像，中耳炎との関係，患者の訴える不定愁訴について述べる。

Incidence, recurrence, initial dermal changes, tympanic perforation and other clinical aspects of chronic myringitis are discussed. The incidenceof this disease in the authors' clinic was about 0.46% (19 cases out of 4159 outpatients) during the year from September 1980 to August 1981. Recurrence was frequently seen in spite of rapid healing by cauterization with acid and application of ointment. In some instances multiple miliary skin lesions were seen on the tympanic membrane at the beginning of the recurrence, even under clean meatal condition. These lesions seemed to be one of the initial dermal changes of chronic myringitis.
