　Ⅰ．緒言

　副鼻腔のmucoceleは前頭洞，篩骨洞に多く，蝶形骨洞には稀であるといわれる^1）。

　Nugent^2）は1969年までの文献を集計し90数例の報告があると述べた。わが国における報告例は10例たらずといわれている^3）。

　Two cases of spenoidal mucocele are reported. Both cases had no significant past history such as trauma or sinus operation.

　Tomograms were most helpful in diagnosing lesions in the sphenoidal sinus. As a diagnostic aid rhinoscopic examination of the nasopharynx is said to be equally important as that of the radiographic.

　By establishing an adequate drainage of the cyst by permaxillary approach under local anesthesia a dramatic improvement of the visual acuity and visual field was achieved.
