I．はじめに
血液疾患という全身的疾患においてその部分症状として耳鼻咽喉科領域に現われる所見から原疾患を見い出すことはしばしば経験するところであり，なかでも口腔，咽頭，扁桃などの異常所見から精査が行なわれ，はじめて血液疾患の存在を知り耳鼻科医によりその診断を得ることも見聞している4）5）8）12）13）14）。今回は中耳炎および顔面神経麻痺を初発症状とした非白血性急性骨髄性白血病の1例を経験し，しかも末期には顆粒細胞減少症の所見を示したもので本例の治療経過と併せ文献的考察を述べる。
A case of leukemia, in a boy aged 13, with the initial symptom of facial nerve palsy is reported. The patient died in 3 months afte the finding of first symptom. There was a decreased blood platelet cells most likely due to the overdosage of therapeutic medication. The patient developed acute otitis during the course of the disease which progressed into mastoiditis. A mastoidectomy was performed.
A definitive diagnosis of this patient at the beginning of the treatment was lacking because no blood examination was performed at the time.
The authors emphasize the importance of blood examination at the start of any treatment.
