　I．はじめに

　本邦において鼓室成形術が行なわれるようになつてから，すでに久しく，その手術方法，成績については，多くの業績をみることができる。

　われわれは，警友病院において，昭和40，41年の2年間に行なつた鼓室成形術の症例を検討し，手術法，術後聴力の推移，移植弁，乳突洞処理などの問題について若干の知見を得たので報告する。

　By employment of periostium and muscular fascia the authors performed myringoplasty in 71 ears during the 2 years 1965 and 1966. Complete epithelization of the tympanic membrane was observed in 94, 92 and 87 percent of cases respectively with type Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ. Among the reoperated cases epithelization was seen in 78 percent. Post operative hearing loss than 30 dB was found in 55 percent of 54 ears, while over 31 dB hearing loss was in 45 percent. Either the periostcal or the fascial grafting resulted in similar amount of hearing loss.
