　I．緒言

　著書はさきに，本学音声外来を訪れた「難聴に起因した言語障害児」について報告したが，難聴の原因及び治療について，更に2,3の知見を得たので，代表的な症例をあげて，之等の知見を報告したい。

Horiguchi and Tani observed cases of nerve deafness among children that seemed to have originated from autointoxication in one, from the mixed deafness by nerve and conduction due to auditory tubal inflammation in the other and from rubeola in still another. In their experience treatments by using corti-sone or X-ray irradiation in tubal involve-ments and acute nerve deafnesses seemingly caused by allergic manifestations from the cause of such a deafness appeared to be quite effective. The effect of speech therapy in cases of nerve deafness is reevaluated. The auditory tubal inflammation, in auhtors' opi-nion, plays a large role in the deafnesses found among children.
