難聴に起因した言語障害幼児の3例

　緒言

　幼児の言語障害に就て，その治療及び改善の方針を立てる場合に，その言語障害の原因を把握せずしては不可能である。併しその原因の追究は非常に努力のいる困難な仕事である。中枢性障害，局所障害，聴力障害と原因は大別されるが，その各々が重畳する場合も多数存在する。当教室音声外来を訪れ各種類の検査の結果，その幼児の言語障害の原因が主として難聴であると判定され，聴力改善を計り，その結果急速な言語障害の改善及び心理精神面の好転を得た症例にしばしば遭遇する。併し又，仮りに言語障害の原因が難聴にあつた場合でも，その難聴自体の本質を究明しなければ初期の目的を達することは出来ない。而るにその幼児の難聴の実体を把握することは容易なことではない。

There are considerable difficulties for mak-ing a diagnosis of hard of hearing among children very young in age. In one such a case a diagnosis was made only after a period of observation and treatment ; in two cases the individuals were regarded as a deaf-mute in one and mentally defective in the other, the both of whom to be found distur-bed in speech learning because of hard of hearing.

With adoption of appropriate treatment the-se children made a satisfactory progress with improvement of speech.
