　I．緒言

　混合腫瘍は，1725年Kaltschmiedにより初めて記載されたものである。

　口腔における混合腫瘍は唾液腺とくに耳下腺に多発し，次いで顎下腺，稀には口蓋その他の組織より発生する。Ward ＆ Heandrickらは，唾液腺組織が他所に迷入して本症の発生を招いたものは12.6％であると述べている。

　A woman, aged 42, complained of soreness on the roof of the mouth with a history of an onset of tumefaction that began about 1 year ago. The localized swelling finally developed into an ulser. The lesion was found to be situated in the boundary of the palate dividing the hard from the soft. Biopsy examination revealed the condition to be the result of the growth of mixed tumor. Exellent results nave been at ained by irradiation treatment ; the patient is at present retained under care for further observations.
