　1．緒言

　我国に於ける小児慢性副鼻腔の研究は近年著しく活溌となり同時にこれに対する多くの各種治療に関する報告を見る様になつた。

　本疾患はここ10年位前より各国の研究者により注目される様になつたがそれ以前は主として米国の耳鼻科医，小児科医によつて研究されていたに過ぎなかつた。

The treatment of maxillary sinusitis among children by conservative operative method (opening of the sinus through the natural ostium) is discussed in comparison to theusual radical method. By use of the former method 88.7% of cases are cured and many points of advantages are found in this method. The author stresses that, in view of the fact that the treament of sinusitis in this country has bypassed the conservative method to adopt immediately the radical, the present method under discussion should be given a trial with a priority to other methods.
