私の考案した新手術法（前頭洞及び篩骨部骨形成手術法）用の器械

　緒言

　手術器械が手術に適合すると否とは，手術成績に及ぼす影響が甚大であるのを，新手術法を開始して見て痛切に感じた。骨弁剥離に一般用の厚手鑿と，新考案の薄手鑿の使用とでは，後者は手術の労力と時間の犠牲が著しく減少し，手術中の諸障碍が殆んど見られなかつた。よつて『鑿の切れ味は』本手術法の成功を支配する重要性があるものとして，鑿の改良に全力を注ぎ，今日迄約10種類近く試作したが，未だ満足の域に達しない，然し追試者からの質問や照会は殆んど鑿が不適合のために起きた障碍であるのを知り，目下試用中の鑿は未完成ではあるが，此れを使用して成功率を高め，無駄な犠牲を除きたく，紹介を急ぐことにした。鑿と同時に新考案の開創鈍鈎及び骨弁整腹器も紹介することにした何れも本法用として不可欠の器械である。

　術後処置用器械は手術との直接関連上之れを同時に紹介した。之の器械はKillian氏法を施行した当時から20数年間現在もなお愛用している。それだけ独特な特色を持つている。術後処置の方法は，新術式に転換しても変りはなく，本器を使用して経過が著しく良好になつている。

Finding that the result of an operation may be largely dependent upon the degree of sharpness with which the edges of the cutting forceps might be provided with, the author designed a special forceps answering such requirements and uses with satisfactory resul-ts in what he calls the new type of osteopla-stic operative method. Various modifications, made on hooks and sounds are described; long-bladed nasoscope with curved handle that allows exposure of the anterior ethmoids as. well as the region of naso-frontal duct for observation is introduced.
