荻野式骨形成前頭洞手術法について—附：変法の提唱

OGINO'S FRONTAL SINUS OPERATION WITH A MODIFICATION

Ⅰ．まえがき

　荻野^1）2）3）の骨形成前頭洞手術法を経験したあと，キリアン法を固執する術者はまずないであろう。私はこの論文を次の目的のために発表する。

　1）慢性前頭洞炎に対し後進者が荻野式骨形成前頭洞手術法を行なう際の参考とするため。

　A modificd method of Niki's operation consists of the removal of the frontal process of the maxillary bone. Through the space created in this way the ethmoid sinus, anterior and posterior, and the sphenoid sinus are completely and throughly cleaned. These sinuses need no longer any attention through the usual frontal sinus approach. The bony wall between the ethmoid and frontal sinuses is preserved intact, so also the frontonasal duct preserved without injury. Niki's method appears to be most suitable for application in treatment of chronic frontal sinusitis where there is no obstructive lesion found in the nasa-frontal duct.
