3年間介在した上咽頭異物（タンス金具）例

　緒言

　従来の異物に関する統計に拠つて見ても，上咽頭異物例は少く，殊に長い期間停滞するとこの極めて稀であることは解剖学的に見て当然のことと思われる。私は3年3ヵ月間上咽頭に異物が介在し，摘出後も言語障碍を後胎した症例を経験したので茲に報告する。

Kawakami reports a case of nasopharyn-geal foreign body which remained in situ for a considerable period of time that caused malodorous nasal clischage and speech defect in a male child, 4 years and 7 months.The diagnosis was confirmed with X-ray examina-tion due to the fact that the foreign body having been a piece of metal 31 mm in dia-meter, 1 mm in thickness and weighing 4.4g. The foreign body was removed and the recovery of the patient was uneventful.

The history of the case revealed that when the child was about the age of 16 months its mother found that he had something in his mouth and she hurriedly tried to remove it. Nothing was thereby found and nothing remo-ved.Since then consultations of doctors on two different occasion were sought for the child's troubles but on each occasion the pa-rents were told that there is no foreign body to be found.
