上咽頭異物

　上咽頭異物についての報告は，大正15年細矢氏の第1例と考えられる報告^1）よりときどき発表されている。文献上には僅かに20例がみられただけであつたが，日常臨床にあたりこれほど少ないものとは老えられず，むしろかなりの数があり，このため逆に報告されないですまされているのだとも考えられる。

　この少数の報告例をみると，年令層，異物，異物の侵入経過等の点で特徴があるようにみえ，われわれがここ数年間に経験した8症例が，たまたま全例幼児であり，しかもその異物が一連の形態的特徴をもつ葉異物であつたことと併せて興味をおぼえここに報告する次第である。

Eight cases of laryngeal foreignbody are reported; all cases were children less than 4 years old and the offending body being plant leaves. The causative factor in foing the body seemed to lie in similar morphological charac teristic. In all cases the removal of the foreign body was attempted by the parents which apprelntly caused a firmer lodgement of the forein body in the superior portion of the la-rynx
