所謂神経性耳鳴に対する星状神経節遮断効果について

　耳鳴は古来謎の疾患と云われている様にその原因が単一でないのみならず，耳鳴発現の本態に就いても種々の仮説があるが今尚不明で，又分類も人により非常にまちまちで，更に治療法も種々あるが不確実である^{1）3）7）8）9）}。耳鳴に対する星状神経節遮断の効果に就いては既にAtkinson^1），Zöllner^8），Hoogland^13），Gerhard Nagel^28），Passe^37），Rudolf^38）等により述べられているが，我々は外耳，耳管，中耳に異常なく，頭蓋内にも腫瘍，炎症等を認めず，又既往に中毒，外傷がなく更にメニエル氏病，内耳梅毒等を除外し得た患者中耳鳴を主訴とする21例を撰び，之に0.5％プロカイン10〜20ccによる星状神経節遮断を行いその効果を観察し得たので茲に報告する。

　Sato and associates report that favorable effects are seen in alleviating tinnitus of so-called nervous origin by instituting stellate ganglion block by means of novocain anesthesia. Of 21 cases of this nature treated 5 showed a complete relief: of temporary relief in 1: the degree of tinnitus to be decreased in 9: decreased but affected with later recurrence in 5: no change in 1: none showed worsening of the condition due to the therapy instituted. The authors state that earlier the treatment be adapted the better would be the results obtained thereby.
