慢性中耳化膿症に於ける鐙骨の可動性

　難聴治療に対する種々の手術方法の発達からして，聴覚の病態生理に関する研究は一層興味あり且つ重要な問題である。

　而して音の内耳内伝導についての研究は音伝導の主要な一つであり，その結果として卵円窓，正円窓の病態は極めて重要である。この両内耳窓の問題は耳硬化症に関する研究の進歩と，その治療法の発達と共に益々研究されて来た。そして卵円窓の状態が先づ重視され，之と共に正円窓の状態についての観察，研究が進みつゝある。

GOTO states that, by direct observation for a state of mobility of the stapes in the course of radical mastoidectomy that numbered 99 succe-ssive cases, only 16 percent actually showed sta-pes immobility. Tnis figure is definitely far below that of stapes immobility which may be derived by other known clinical tests. He em-phasizes the fact that, in the last analysis, the diagnosis for stapes immobility for a certaintymust be made by means of direct examination which might be accomplished during the proce-dure of operation on the temporal bone. In author's hands the use of varidase has given results that permanently corrected the state of immobility to that of being mobile. Upon whi-ch basis the author advocates his so-called En-hanced Hearing Radical Mastoido-Tympanectomy, an operative procedure that preserves the hea-ring after radical mastoidectomy.
