　慢性中耳化膿症に於いては耳小骨連鎖の離断されているものが少くない。この場合聴力恢復を最良にするためには連鎖を再形成することが望ましい。このために種々の試みが行われているが，未だ決定的になつていない。

　私は本年春からして砧骨鐙骨関節の離断しているものに対して砧骨を移動せしめることによつて耳小骨連鎖の再形成を試み，その経過を観察し得たので，この問題について種々考察を試みんとする。

Goto finds that, by making observationswith 175 cases of chronic otitis media on conditions that involve the middle ear ossicles in this disease. there are disturbances that are recognized inthe fuctional continuity of the ossicular chain. In not a small number such a lesion may be found limited to the incu-stapedial joint. The author devises a meihod by which to establish adjustment toregain functional aetivty to such a joint particularly, by mobillization of the incus. The author states that weether or not this method would be the answer io a long stand-ding clinical question must await further accumulation of clinical experience as well as favorable animal experimentations.
