Stapes Mobilization（鐙骨可動化手術）と，その術中にみられた鼓室小骨の畸型

　I．はじめに

　最近，耳科学界では，難聴の治療法，そのうちでも特に伝音系難聴の治療法の問題が，再び大きくとりあげられて，いろいろな観点から議論されてきた。Stapes Mobilizationもその一環をなす問題であつて，今から81年前（1876）に，J. Kessel^1）によつて創められた耳硬化症に対するこの手術法が，1953年に至つて再びRosen^2）によつてとりあげられて以来，これが多くの耳科医の興味の中心に大きく浮かび上つたものである。

　現在では，耳硬化症患者の多い欧米はもちろん世界各国において，この方法が追試され，最近の報告によれば，全世界におけるこの手術総数は8000例を越え，しかもそれぞれ良好な成績がえられているといわれている。

　A case of pseudo-otosclerosis a loss of hearing due to congenital malformation of the middle ossicles is reported. This condition was found accidently when stapes mobilization was attempted bilaterally on a woman aged 21 who presented suggestive symptoms of otosclerosis. The result of the operation appeared to be good on the side in which the ear development proved to be normal but, on the side of malformation it was a failure. Methods of operation of stapes mobilization and indications for are discussed.
