經過中ジヤクソン氏癲癇を伴える鼻性化膿性腦膜炎の治驗例

　從來，難治とされていた鼻性化膿性腦膜炎も，近年著しい發達を見せた化學療法により，その治驗例が，急速に増加して來たことは，寺山の統計に依つても明らかである。然しながら，未だその治癒率は，決して高いとは言えず，又症状の一時的隠蔽による再燃や，各種の合併症を起し，更に後遺症を殘すことも報告されている。而して現在，本症に對する治療法として，原病巣の手術的清掃とか，藥劑の髓腔内注入，及び動脈，靜脈，筋肉内注射等色々行われているが，最近私は，ペニシリンの大量靜注によつて著効を得た鼻性化膿性腦膜炎の1例を經驗した。よつて，その經過中示した興味ある症状と，本症例に行つた治療法に就いて報告し，先人の發表に追加したい。

WATANABE reports a case of meningi-tis of nasal origin that resulted as a co-mp lication from acute right frontal sinusi-tis and that, during the progress of whi-ch, showed symptoms of Jacksonian epilep-sy. The patient recovered with treatme-nts that consisted of two repeated operations on the frontal sinus which were combined with administrations of penicillin in large amounts intravenously. Blood examination during peni-cillin therapy showed high concentration of units in the circulation but spinal fluid exami-nation was negative for presence of the antibi-otic.
