緒言
耳性化膿性腦膜炎に對しての治療法中從來は主に腦脊髓液の持續的排泄に意を用ひられしが，近時化學療法の著しき發達と共に化膿性腦膜炎に對してペニシリン（以下ペと略す）の著効ある事は周知の事實となれり．余は最近錐體炎に因る耳性化膿性腦膜炎にペ劑を用ひ幸に治癒したるを以て此處に報告す．
Symptoms of meningitis, althoug not severe, were maiufeshd in a patient, a faner 63 years of age, with affecting of Otitis.
Intra-spinal administractions of penicillin resu-lted in remission of these symptoms but they soon recurred for the second attack. Complete cure was attained only after curettage of the tip of petrous pyramid according to the method of Uffe-norde and Ramadier.
