　I．はじめに

　神経膠腫は単発性であることが一般の通説となっている_8）．しかしながらCT scanの発達で多発性に発生する臨床例が観察されている．事実，当Montefiore病院においても，本症例を含み最近3例のmultifocal glio—maの生検例を経験している．本症例以外のこれらの他の2症例は，生検のみのためmultifocal gliomaと断定することはできなかったが，著者らは，ここに術前CTscanにより多発性病巣を認め，生検および剖検にて免疫組織学的検索を併せ行い，multifocal gliomaと診断した1剖検例を経験したので報告する．

This is an autopsy case report of a 76 year old woman with multifocal glioblastoma multiforme. CT scan revealed three separate mass lesions in the left temporal lobe, left parietal lobe and right fronto-parietal lobes. CT-guided needle biopsy of the right fronto-parietal mass revealed glioblastoma multiforme. At autopsy, serial horizontal sections of the brain confirmed the CT scan findings and demonstrated extension of the tumor in the left parietal lobe to the subarachnoicl space. The lesion in the right fronto-parietal region infiltrated a large area and was not demarcated.
