Ⅰ．はじめに

　頭蓋内epidermoidは，全脳腫瘍の約1％^10,16,29）とされ，さほど稀な疾患ではない．しかしながら側脳室内epidermoidはきわめて稀で，Kriegら^12）の報告以来，本邦例をも含めて^19,21）20例を集計するに過ぎない．われわれは最近，頭部外傷時に撮影された頭蓋単純写により偶然石灰化を指摘され，手術により確認別出された右側脳室三角部に発生したと考えられる巨大なepidermoidの1例を経験したので，臨床病理学的検討を加えて報告する．

The epidermoid of the lateral ventricle is very rare. Recently Guidetti & Gagliardi reported four cases of epidermoid of the lateral ventricle among 31 cases of intracranial epidermoid. The number appears to be unusually high when compared with the order series. We have reported here a case of huge calcified epidermoid which is located in the right lateral ventricle.

A 58-year-old housewife had minor head injuries on her occipital region on October 19, 1977. She visited a doctor and an abnormal huge calcification was pointed out on the plain skull X-ray. She was soon transfered to the neurosurgical department of Nippon Medical School.
