Ⅰ．はじめに

　脊椎および脊髄奇形に対するcomputed tomographyの使用は，1975年のDi Chiroら^3）によるsyringomyelia以来，　diastematomyelia^14,16），bifid spine and meningocele^8），anterior meningocele and spinal lipomas^2），spinal dysraphism^10）などで報告され次第にその有用性が高まっている．われわれもCT scanによりlipomeningoceleを診断し得たので若干の文献的考察を加え報告する．

A case of 2-month-old girl with lumbosacral lipomeningocele was reported. She was admitted for evaluation of a large soft mass in the lumbosacral area, initially noted at birth.

On examination, the tumor was 7cm in diameter and 3cm in height. The upper part of a mass was cystic. Plain X-ray films revealed bifid lower lumbar and sacal vertebra.
