　ミオクローヌスを論ずるにあたり，欠かせぬ疾患にCJD（Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease）とSSPE（Subacuteselerosing panencephalitis）がある。両者ともに周期性同時性放電（periodic synchronous discharge，以下PSD）とミオクローヌスを特徴としている。ミオクローヌスの性質や起源を考える時両者は同一ではないが，同様な特色を持つため両者を同時に論ずることとした。個個の疾患について，ミオクローヌスを中心にそれぞれ別に述べることとする。

　Many works on the myoclonus have been performed in Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) and in subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE), both of which are characterized by the myoclonus and the periodic synchronous discharge (PSD). We reported a case of CJD and reviewed these works on the myoclonus.

　In our case, the routine polygraph, the technique of jerk-locked averaging and the technique of PSD-loked averaging showed a fixed relationship in time between the PSD and the myoclonus. The same results were reported in a few cases of CJD.
