緒言

　脂肪肉腫は軟部組織の腫瘍であり，一般には深部の軟部組織より発生する。その好発部位は下肢であり，ついで後腹膜，上肢である。後腹膜に発生する頻度は10〜40％である^1〜8）。最近われわれは後腹膜脂肪肉腫の1例を経験したので報告する。

A 68 year-old women was admitted with the chief complaint of a left abdominal mass. DIP showed a large tumor occupying from the lower pole of the left kidney to the pelvic cavity, displacing the left kidney superiorly and the left ureter medially. Abdominal aortography demonstrated a large hypervascular tumor with a main arterial supply arising from the lumbar arteries. Abdominal computed tomography suggested that the tumor invaded the psoas muscle and the guadratus lumborum muscle. No distant metastases were observed by bone liver scanning and chest X-ray studies.
