緒言

　近年の交通災害，産業労働災害の増加とともに，泌尿生殖器の外傷も増加している。しかし，それによる尿管外傷はまれとされているが，われわれは，最近，労働災害による尿管断裂の1例を経験したので，若干の考察を加え報告する。

A 33-year old male was admitted for the examination of the left kidney. 161 days prior to admi-ssion, he had noticed grosshematuria after the traumatic contusion of his left flank while working in a bulldozer. Two sets of IVP performed one and two months after the trauma disclosed non-functioning left kidney. Surgical exploration revealed the complete rupture of the left kidney at the ureteropelvic junction associated with marked inflammatory adhesions and pseudocyst around the lower pole of the kidney. Left nephrectomy was performed and postoperative course was uneventful one year and three months after the surgery.
