緒言

　馬蹄鉄腎は先天性腎奇形のうち，比較的よくみられるもので，結石，水腎，感染などの二次的病変を合併しやすいことはよく知られている。しかし，腫瘍合併例は極めて少なく，1922年夏秋^1）の報告以来23例を数えるのみであり，また尿管腫瘍の合併例は1961年高嶋^2）の報告した1例のみである。

　最近，われわれは馬蹄鉄腎に合併した尿管腫瘍の1例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

The patient was a 55-year-old man who came with the chief complaint of gross-hematuria. On admission he received several urological examinations. The cytological examination of the urine was evaluated as class V. We diagnosed transitional cell carcinoma of the ureter in a horseshoe kidney before the operation and performed right hemi-nephrectomy and total ureterectomy with partial cystec-tomy. Histologically, tumor in the right ureter was grade II, invasive, transitional cell carcinoma. After the operation the patient received anti-cancer chemotherapy and now he is in good general health with-out signs of recurrence or metastasis.
