　尿道ring狭窄に関しては，1963年Lyon^1）がdistal urethral stenosisの名称で100名の排尿障害や慢性尿路感染症を有する少女患者（両者を合併するものを含む）のうち70名の遠位部尿道に線維性のanular ringが発見されたとしている。

　またわが国でも最近桜井^2）らによる詳しい報告がみられる。しかし，成人に排尿障害の原因としてこれを発見した報告は少ないようである。

A 42-year old man visited our clinic with the chief complaint of dysuria. He was diagnosted as urethral ring stenosis by the measurement of urethral pressure profile under fluoroscopic visualization by means of X-ray television.

This disease, reported by Lion and Smith in 1963, was thought to be occurred mainly in infant and the report of adult case was rare in the literature.

Endoscopic examination, retrograde urethrography or voiding cystourethrography has usually beenamong the diagnostic tests, but they were occasionally disappointing. Especially the retrograde urcthro-graphy was believed to be of no use by some authors.
