Ⅰ．緒言

　尿道小阜（Caruncle）は1750年SharpおよびMorganiによりはじめて記載された疾患であるが，爾来本症に関する多くの報告ならびに研究がみられる。しかしその原因ならびに悪性変化などの問題に関してはいまだ一定の結論を得るに至つていない。私共は昭和34年教室開設以来昭和43年4月に至る9年間に外来を受診した尿道小阜60例を蒐集したので，今回その臨床的観察ならびに組織学的検索を行なうとともに若干の文献的考察を加えここに報告する。

The clinical and histological survey on 60 cases of urethral caruncle, collected during the 9 years between April 1959 and April 1968, was reported. The incidence has been 1.6% of female outpatients, most of them were married, above 40 years and were complaining bladder symptoms.

Conservative treatment was done on almost half of the cases and radical treatment such as electroco-agulation, exstirpation of tumor, partial resection of the urethra were done on the rest. When the tumor was larger than soybean or occupied the entire circumference of urethra, radical treatment seems to be indicated.
